mid-autumn festival '10

there is no autumn here....
but still had lots of fun celebrating this traditional chinese festival...
HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL...=D

my mom always cooks a lot every time when it's a BIG DAY.....
vegetarian dinner.....

my all time favourite vegetarian dish...
braised vegetarian chicken feet with mushroom...

the chicken feet absorbed the gravy like tofu pok....yum yum
and the mushrooms have a wonderful meaty texture...tender and smooth....
could have 1 full bowl of rice with this dish alone....=D

after dinner....
it's time to prepare for the tea and mooncake session..=)

light up the lantern and candles...

bring out the festive food...

little yam

"moon cookies"

pomelo

MOONCAKES

and Pu-erh tea that goes very well with the sweet sweet mooncakes...

sitting at the garden...under the full moon....

happy family time.....=D

received many mooncakes from friends and relatives every year....
and I like to collect the mooncake boxes...
because the mooncake packaging design are always so creative.....
some are just more than mooncake boxes...

let's see what I've got this year....
