HAPPY SQUID

ya....it is a squid....
it is so cute......
according to the article.....
this cute piglet squid with smiley face is known as helicocranchia pfefferi

Piglet squids are about the size of a small avocado
and live near the ocean surface, between 100m - 200m deep..

The creatures have a habit of filling up with water and have large photophores (light-emitting organ) behind both its eyes...
i think it was the alignment of its skin pigment that cause the formation of smiley face...

it looks like a transparent balloon with smiley face on it.....
such a cute happy creature.....
i think one of the function of its photophores is to enlightened the people who meet it...=D

switch to happy mode after seeing this happy squid.... ^^

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Finally watched
HARRY POTTER and The Half Blood Prince......
last night

desperately wanted to watched this.....
so just sms friends around 7pm...confirmed within 20 min.....
so fast and efficient.......
without planning ahead......like we used to do...
book ticket and ask everyone who want to join...blah blah blah.....
usually takes few hours to few days time.....

i damn scare the ticket will be sold out....
so i was driving a bit fast all the way to Cheras Selatan....
nagged by ling.... =.=

but super lucky......it was monday night.....
quite a lot of seat were available.......^^
if i knew it......then i would be a slow driver......XD

anyway.....back to HP6......
it was a good one.....very good one....^^
much better than HP5......
you should go and watched it if you haven't....

feel like reading the HP series all over again.......
i borrowed from friends last time.....
didn't have my own books....
want to buy the whole series one day......
with the nice box one.....

looking forward to HP7- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.....

TARC diploma convocation

today is a big day to my lovely ji mui--> ah lai
the Diploma convocation @ TARC

we went there for what??

can't imagine how they could stand the heat trapped in the robe....

we opened and wanted to see the cert......
who knows........it was EMPTY....
sound so meaningless to me......

by the way...ah lai looks nice in that robe....^^
i need to wait 3 more years to wear that.....

Nothern City Hopping: Ipoh ...again

back to Ipoh again....
this time only 5 people: me, David, Gab, YJ and QW....
accommodation: same.....David's hotel apartment

leave Penang around 11pm....
reached around 3am.....
David and QW took turn in driving....
and other 3...slept like pig in the car....
i couldn't help it.....i was in sick mode....

wanted to go for Gua Tempurung expedtion...
it actually was a last minute decision.....
David came up with that idea in Penang....
before i fell sick....

we joined the extreme wet tour....
surprised that there were so many people on that day...
it was Tuesday...11 am....
going with around 20+ people....

the cave was so warm and stuffy and humid...
you can see the water vapour around you when shine the torch...
looks like you are full with power......
here's a irrelevant picture to help you imagine the situation...XD

sweat a lot at the beginning of the expedition...
a lot of stairs...climbing....and sliding....
David was damn good in climbing.....like spiderman...
me??.....like spiderpig....XD
walked to the other exit of cave...which was a forest....
then wet-walk to the exit nearby the entrance.....through the stream....
the water damn cold.......a lot luxury marble "pool".....
everyone played water at the exit.......
really FUN...^^

basically i was sick throughout this Ipoh tour.....
so didn't take any photo during this tour....
feeling sleepy all the time.....
just dozed off anywhere i could....
....in the hotel lobby while checking in
....in the cave while waiting for others
....during dinner while they all chit-chating
....in the car wherever we go
....wherever and whenever i was sitting

luckily there was a doctor at David's house-->Charis (his sis)
she is a to-be doctor...and i was well taken care.....^^
after in the hot condition for 2 days.....
finally cooled down on the day home.....

went home on Wednesday......by KTM....
here's the end of this FUN city hopping tour.....

crossing the penang bridge....

Penang.....here we come....^^

first took a rest in Bell's house......till Sam came and meet us.....

he came from a place which i forgot the name.....in Kedah state....

then went for our 1st meal at penang......German cuisine.....
a walk at the loooooong pasar malam @ bukit ferenggi....

basically was visiting 1 pasar malam X 25 times...=.=

because all selling the same stuff......

after a tired day......time to sleep......
before went to QW's apartment.....
we went to his house to collect pillows and blanket...
and there was where I tried the Irish Cream....for the first time...

love that creamy coffee + alcohol taste....

it added to my loving list.....^^

let's have some FOOD talk before go on the tour of Penang...
hohohoho......

FOOD again....^^

little food facts discovered in Penang:
1. Penang Hokkien Mee = KL Har Mee
2. food is CHEAP......^O^...(except the fried keow teow which cost RM6+)
3. size "S" in Penang = size "XS" in KL (roti tisu is special case...^^)

love the fried keow teow the most....
although is expensive and small portion.....(really small.....don't fooled by the photo on fb)
with 3 big fat prawn and the soft & smooth keow teow...so still worth it la...

and also ...DURIAN ICE-CREAM.....
it was so durian.....haha....
full with the durian flavour....and on sale for limited time only.....
so lucky that time was durian season.....

Penang tour.....
different from Taiping tour.....no schedule....
just go wherever we wanted to go....

finally went to Bukit Bendera.....by the super slow and old hill train....
which I never take before....

had a lot of fun up there....and took a lot of pictures...(refer to fb for complete album^^)

day full with happenings....
anyway.....it still FUN.....^^

took the water sport package.....parasailing, jet-skiing, banana boating

parasailing....
paired up with Bell...had a "wonderful" departure and landing....XD
took off with my knee being dragged on the sand...
coz we both fell down when running....
landed on my butt....... pain like hell for few days.....T.T

paired up with David....
the most fun of all....\(^o^)/
a lot of drifting on sea....wohoo.....
and.........
we fell into sea when i tried to do a last turning before the session end.....=.=
dunno how it happened.....just so sudden.....
but still FUN....^^

the ultimate banana boat......
everything started after this ride....

1st batch: David, HY, HY's fren (1 boy 1 girl), QW...
Penang sea......famous with the SEAFOOD....especially jellyfish....
so you can guess what happen next......
they fell into sea.....and kissed by the jellyfish....
all boys.....except girls....got the kisses.....
conclusion: jellyfish love guys.....XD
what to do after stung by jellyfish???
the solution---->urine......
so they quickily grabbed someone's bottle and pee in it.....
then pour on their arms and legs....
but according to the sample of this experiment....QW....
the urine was just some useless warm smelly liquid
didn't reduce any pain caused by the venom....

2nd batch: me, Bell, Gab, YJ and Weng Keng...
learned the lesson.....from 1st batch...
we kept telling the guy who driving the boat....
"abang, kami TAK MAU jatuh..."
haha.....

David was alergic to the venom...
so QW drove themselve to the clinic nearby....
while 2nd batch were still on the banana boat......
luckily it wasn't a serious allergy...he just had rashes as souvenir....

we lost our one of our lockers' keys....
couldn't find it.....we worried there would be some fine on it....
luckily no.....the guy just easily knock the cheap paddle lock and it opened...

after using a lot of energy at the beach......time for dinner.....
a seafood meal treated by Bell's family.....@ a restaurant beside the sea....
it was so delicious......especially the grill stingray....
succulent and tender.....ate with the sour chili sauce......*drooling*

had our dinner here....
with the sea breeze blowing....

sunday night....
dinner @ QW's house

western food served......
love mashed potatoes.....it was so yummy.....
made of potatoes......i mean real potatoes....^^
not the instant powder....
it was not fully mashed....still can taste the bite of potatoes....

last day in Penang....
since it was durian season....
Sam brought us to a road side fruit stall.....
behind the stall was a fruit farm.....
at Pulau Balik.....if not mistaken....

main purpose there: EAT DURIAN...

had the symptom of falling sick for the whole day......
having headache and could feel the the hot breath of myself...
so the durian was the last straw to my body......
fever + sore throat....once thought i got the H1N1 influenza....XD

lastly, introduce our fix activity during night

the only scheduled activity every single night at Penang

Cho Dai D (poker)...XD

leave Penang on Monday......with a "hot" body......
around 11PM....

why were we leaving in a rush???
because we want to avoid the traffic jam at the bridge in the morning.....

where were we heading??
Ipoh....

we had 4d3n schedule for this Taiping trip...

first thing we do in Taiping.....EAT!!!!

food food food.....

ALL ABOUT FOOD!!!!

the seafood there damn cheap compared to KL......

tell you what we ordered: crab, prawn, fish, lala, eggplant, vege and that thing which I don't know the name.....

everything listed up there....need to X2
because we 12 people sit at 2 big round table....
and all of them only cost us RM217....
and I think the serving enough for 20 people.....

the bad thing there was....i had no appetite at all due to the monthly pain....
i chewed the big fat prawn in my mouth for more than 5 minute still couldn't swallow it....
need to drink tea to flush the prawn into my stomach.....

love this coffee shop...provide some western breakfast....
not the fine one...
erm.....like the time when western food first introduced here.....
a bit like British+Malaysia style.....
and it was CHEAP too....^^

they sell some tart, cakes and cookies in such traditional way....
u just take a plate which place on top of the cupboard...open the sliding door..... and pick what u want...

i thought we were going to hike up the hill......
but actually we jeep up and down the hill......save time and energy....

oh ya....had a first time at Taiping.....
it was my first time stepped into a church.....
watched a concert performed by a Korean missionary band....
some of them get so high during the ending of the concert.....

last night at Taiping....
BBQ party at sw's house.....

the succulent and tender chicken on the grill.....
some sweet potatoes in another pot...

having some fun time around the HOT fire

i was quite hyper throughout the BBQ party.....
as if i had taken some drug...XD

some other places visited: pondan village...Taiping night safari....All Saints Church (first british church in Malaysia)
couldn't go pedaling at Taiping lake....due to the rain.....a regret about this.....

can't tell in detail about every place visited and everything did in Taiping....
too many to tell....

we played Mafia every night till 2-3 am......
woke up 8-9am the next day.....exhausted.....
but still worth it.....having a lot of fun at Taiping.....

so what's NEXT??

with Sherrie, Gabriel & YJ....
reached around 4pm...

started exploring around....
outcome of exploration:
2 rooms 2 bathrooms 1 living room 1 pantry
so nice....never think of we would stay in such a nice place during this trip
a good surprise of the very first day of this trip

it was made that way...so creative...

after choosing our rooms and changing...
went out for dinner...

went to David's home after dinner...
