So we quickly ran out from the house and hope that we could see it....

there was a countdown event at Serdang too...

New year's eve cook~

I don't really like joining the crowd at the street or shopping mall and count down for new year....

I had my own way celebrating and welcoming 2012 --> cook at home for my dear family~

Planned a simple menu for the day...

1. mushroom ravioli topped with dill butter sauce

I wanted to make the size of wantan....but accidentally turn it into BIG UFO..... =/

and the pasta sheet.....of cause I made it myself...

first time making it, it came out not bad.... =D

2. chicken and leek pie

this time I bought the ready made puff pastry from Cold Storage....

it's very hard to make puff pastry. I tried before but it didn't turn out well....

3. meatball pasta

I use minced pork for the meatball and then add in caramelized onion, garlic and a dash of red wine...

I stuff the meatball with a bit of bacon and pinch of cream cheese... they add extra flavour in the meatball.... =]

Lastly, came my favourite part of dinner -- dessert!!

4. caramel custard pudding

it's so easy to make, just milk and egg and sugar. I make it like steamed egg..

Yes, I used steamer instead of oven, which lead to shorter cooking time... =]

it still came out very nice...smooth and springy...

dinner was so satisfying~

I am saying both the process of eating and preparation... =D

Early Xmas gift

Early Christmas gift for myself!

Voila~

I went to Gramedia Book Store @ The Mines to hunt for cookbook. Guess how much I get them for? Originally, all three of them cost RM321.30. But I got it for RM96.60!!!

Super dirt cheap and great bargain. The shop is going to close down and it is having clear stock sales now. All English and Chinese books are 70% off.

However, the sales has been going on for quite few days, not many books and stationary left. I am so lucky to get the book I want. =D

It was a sunny evening.....

The sun was shining brightly in the sky like a gold under a spotlight....

In just a fraction of second, the sky was separated into 2 part: the sunny and the gloomy part. Symptom of end of the world? hmmm.....anyway, at the dark side of the sky, appear a rainbow. It is so colourful in the dark background.

Wait......there is something above it.....Look clearly, they are double rainbow.

I have never seen it before. I think today is my lucky day!!! =D

15 September 2011-- a date symbolized freedom!
It might be another Thursday for most people out there, but it is the last day of my internship!
It finally comes to an end after 15 weeks of working life and being a pathetic KTM-er.

Need not to mention about the experience of taking KTM, especially during peak hour. Everyone hates it but still have to take it. It's the cheaper choice to KL as parking rate at KL is sky high.
However, I would like to complement KTM's service is getting better after the week of Hari Raya holiday. They reschedule the 6-car ETS train service at peak hour and I always get to take the train. It's not packed and I'm able to get a seat, always.

Nothing much to mention about the routine and boring work of my internship. What's interesting about it is the people I met. My team people are all married and now at their mid-age. My direct supervisor looks strict and doesn't really talk to me but she is actually quite helpful and kind. My colleague are quite helpful and willing to explain me anything I don't understand. I never had lunch with them till the last day. A farewell lunch with my team and HOD. They are so nice to give me a farewell gift. I am so surprised and touched.

Good luck and all the best to my supervisor, colleagues, and all intern friends I met at Maxis. =]

Eat Eat: Chinoz in the Park

My food from Penang is still in the stomach and I have another massive eating -- a Ramahdan buffet at Chinoz in the Park @ KLCC. It's organised by my internship company and it's for ALL practical trainees.

Since it's FREE, we all definitely attend. ;)

I never been to the restaurant before and we thought it would be some not-so-nice restaurant that serve not-so-nice food.

Who knows it's actually a very nice restaurant with modern design and cozy atmosphere.

The buffet starts 7:30pm. There are some dates on table for break fast.

I don't count how many type of dishes they have in the buffet, roughly around 50-60. It's more to Malaysian cuisine.

1st section I look at is the dessert area....hehe....

They serve many type of Malay kuih-muih, mix fruit, jelly and western dessert as well.

Roasted lamb and grilled vege...

At the end of dinner, take a group picture. Say CHEESE~~~~

Nothing much I could comment on the food, it's very normal buffet. I heard the buffet cost RM83 per pax. (o.O)! Very honestly, I don't think it worth that price and I would rather spend that money for Jogoya buffet or Tenji.

Anyway, it is just "IF". I feel grateful for the dinner and I enjoyed the dinner very much, with those intern buddies. =)

Eat Eat @ Penang

1 day after the Umai-Ya dinner, Me and other Notti. friends drive up to Penang to attend a 21st birthday party.

This is the second time I go to Penang with my Notti. gang, but it's the very first time I drive there from KL. We enter Penang Island around 1pm.

2pm sharp, we already at Lorong Selamat for the famous char kuey teow. The cook is still the same unfriendly lady, the portion is still very small compared to KL, the shop is still fully occupied, the char kuey teow still tastes AWESOME!! =D

After waiting more than 30 min, There are 3 big fat fresh shell-less prawn in the plate, some lap cheong (Chinese dried sausage), tauge (bean sprout) and spring onion. Smooth kuey teow is stir-fried till slightly charred and full of smell of caramelized soy sauce and fragrance oil. It definitely worth the long waiting. =D

In the waiting period, we order O-Jian (Oyster omelette). All oysters are double the size of my thumb. They are just slightly cooked. It burst in the mouth when I bite it. It so fresh, juicy and soft. The egg and flour mixture where the oyster sit in, is pan fried to the state of golden colour and crispy edge. Perfect combination of juicy soft oyster and crispy egg mixture. Dip the O-Jian in chinese chili sauce, it's just so flavorful in my mouth. =D

How can we miss one of the world top 10 food when we are at Penang. Without delay, we move on to next famous Penang food -- asam laksa! We went to a shop at I-don't-know-where, the asam laksa is served in room temperature. =/

Although it taste nice, I prefer it served hot. I like the asam laksa opposite Tan Jetty more. I am not sure if the stall is still at the same spot or not.

After some savory main course, we continue the eating with some dessert. We walk to our next destination. We cross the 5 branch overhead pedestrian bridge and head to Penang Road cendol. There are always many people queuing at the stall and eating cendol at roadside. We place our order then we go to a small and old-Nyonya-looking shop and wait to taste the cendol comfortably. The shop is just nearby, but it's not the kopitiam behind the cendol stall. Honestly, I have sweet-tooth but I am not big fans of cendol. I don't know how a bowl of good cendol should taste like. I was so damn full, so I share a bowl of cendol with JingX.

After a 4-course Penang lunch, my stomach can't take any more food. *burb*

We go back to Bel's house and get ready for the 21st birthday party later night. Meeting many more notti. friends and another happy gathering take place. =)

Next day morning, we planned to go for Penang Hokkien mee, but it's closed. =(

So we go to Indian fried noodle nearby Pulau Tikus market. Yesterday food was still yet to be digested, but I can't resist the nice food in front of me. Yum yum~

There is some squid in the fried noodle. I think it is either dried squid or marinated squid, because it is dark red. I love the squid. It is not too chewy nor too soft, just my favorite texture. =)

On the way back to car park, I buy a curry puff at the market, it's a small stall nearby parking lot. I am too full to eat the whole puff, so I just take a bite. It's really a good curry puff, crispy and flaky puff pastry, not too spicy filling. NICE! =D

In less than 2 hours, we meet up another bunch of friends and head to Ah Leng char kuey teow for lunch.

This is the favourite char kuey teow of the Penang friend we met latter. I think he order extra big size for all of us. It is a luxury version of char kuey teow, there are FIVE big prawns, lots of kuey teow and some har go (egg part of prawn?) on top. It costs us RM11.50 per plate. I thought there won't be any char kuey teow more expensive than the one at Lorong Selamat. If it taste nice then it's fine. BUT, the har go taste and look like it had been in the fridge for months. I DON'T LIKE THIS CHAR KUEY TEOW. I can't even finish it. The last meal in this Penang trip is quite disappointing. =/

We hit the road and back to KL with over-stretched stomach, few boxes of Him Heong Tambun biscuit and Eaton ang koo kuih. I don't take many picture of food during this trip, it doesn't change much in good way, from taste to portion and price. =)

Eat Eat: Umai-Ya

Mission: Fill our empty stomach!

Target area: Puchong IOI Boulevard

We stepped our feet in IOI Boulevard around 9:30pm. What type of restaurant would still open at this time? Hmm....left the choice of some bar restaurants. But I don't want Fish&Chips.

Both of us are craving for some Asian flavour.

So, we try our luck at a Japanese restaurant, Umai-Ya

Luckily, the restaurant is still opened and most importantly the kitchen is still opened too.

You guess it right, we are the Last and ONLY customer in that restaurant. It looks as if we book the whole restaurant. XD

We don't plan to go luxury, so we order something easy and fast. Last order is 10pm!

Dragon Maki - RM25

Dragon Maki NICE! I like the combination of unagi and avocado. I think they match very well. =)

Shime Saba Sushi - RM 3.80

Shime Saba is pickled mackerel. It reminds me of the Japanese pickled salmon, which I LOVE very much and almost eat it everyday during my Japan trip.

Kani Unatama Maki (corner) - RM16

Dynamite Maki (center) - RM16

There are mango in the Dynamite Maki but I can't really taste the mango. Kani Unatama Maki is fried soft shell crab Maki, I personally think the soft shell crab is overcooked and dry out. It turns out a bit hard.

We love the Shime Saba Sushi so much that we order again. I think the chef might be in a hurry, the second Shime Saba sushi doesn't look very nice, but it taste awesome!

Tofu Dengaku - RM12

My dear order this too... scary Natto Beans!! =S

My dear keeps looking for it in the menu, but there isn't any Natto bean alone in the menu. The waiter is very kind and helps us to ask the chef if we could get Natto bean alone without the main dish come with it. I think it might because we are the last and only customer, the chef serve us a small plate of Natto beans for FREE!!!

Overall, the service of the shop is good and the food is not bad.

I wouldn't say this is the best Japanese food I had, but I will have another visit again. =)

internship is......

I believe most of the degree course require you (if you are a college/uni student) to join internship a.k.a industrial training.....

The reason is quite simple: to expose yourself to the real working environment

some said internship is a good opportunity for you to practice what you're majoring....

some said internship is the introduction to your future career.....

some said internship is for you to make mistakes and learn....

some said internship is not very important, it's just a credit you need to earn to complete your degree study....

some said internship is the good kick start for your 1st job as you need good testimonial from your internship company...

I said internship is for me to get practical experience and get my hands dirty (if required) and do to learn....

you do more you learn more.....

it's nothing worse than nothing to do and thus learn nothing during the internship period....

I missed a good chance...

I made a wrong decision...

but now I have made up my mind to take the change....

How I know it is change for better not worse? my heart told me.... ;P

I have been thinking days and nights....

I was urged to decide immediately.....

I feel good happy pleased relieved about my choice....

That is it.....

hope no more obstacle to my choice....

Mont Blanc (sweet potato version)

Firstly, Happy holiday to myself!!!! \(^o^)/

I have exactly 14 days of holiday starting from last Thursday....

haiz...only 14 days.....

alright, i tell myself must fully utilize these valuable days.....

I kinda abandoned my dear oven for quite a long time....

so I decided to bake something beautiful and delicious and definitely SWEET... =]

Searching for recipe online and I found a French dessert, Mont Blanc

Instead of using chestnut, this recipe uses sweet potato....

I had all the ingredients needed at home....

oh yes! you are the chosen one....Mont Blanc (sweet potato version)

lots of work to do....

preheat the oven....bake the cake base....boil the sweet potato....make the sweet potato puree....whip some fresh cream....assembly cake + cream + sweet potato puree

voila....

It doesn't look like traditional Mont Blanc at all............. >"<

The sweet potato puree looks like mustard..... =/

I had hard time piping the puree and I couldn't pipe it perfectly straight....

I think it's because the puree is a bit dry. I should have mixed more cream into it.

Nothing I can do anymore, so better taste my first not-so-traditional Mont Blanc

first bite.....hmmmmm...............I smell egg......

the cake is soft and moist even though I forgot to brush some cake syrup on top of the cake before assembly....

I can taste sweet potato in it....the whipped cream is very light and it helps to combine all the flavor......

All I can said is "OMG........It's so delicious!!!!!!"

It definitely taste 10 times better than it looks, NO exaggeration.

I thought it might be subjected to personal taste bud....

BUT BUT BUT....all my family love it too. =D

I'm so flattered when my sis complains that I made so few and she wants to eat more....

hehe.....

hmm....what I shall make tomorrow.........

Field Trip to KLIA Air Traffic Control Tower

See this tower whenever I go to KLIA and I always wonder does it looks like what we see in TV up there...

As a committee member of UNMC IEM Student Chapter

I got a chance to get up there! =D

father of a friend of the club's president is the person in charge of KLIA DCA (Department of Civilian Aviation)

that's why we have this chance that most people wanna get... \(^O^)/

it's a whole new different view from top of the tower....

we can see the whole airport and everything around the tower...

we were told that even Genting Highland can be seen from the tower if the weather is good....

we have an air traffic controller to explain us the operation and procedure of clearing the landing and departure.... (but not this guy in the picture, he is busy)

it's so amazing that just by looking at the system, we can know which plane is about to land, which one is about to take off....every detail about a particular flight can be check from the system...

we look at the computer screen, check which plane is coming (it appears as a moving dot with its flight code) , and then slowly you will see the plane stated in the system is coming to land on the right runway.....

it's so fun to see the jet queuing on the runway waiting for it's turn to take off...

the jets look just like toy plane...so small and cute....

they have to line up because one runway only allows one jet at a time....

another interesting thing we were told is that they will usually let smaller jet to take off 1st if there are two jets wanna take off at the same time, to avoid "traffic jam". It's because big jet takes longer time to take off and the smaller one has to wait for around 3 minutes after the big jet take off...

it's an interesting & unforgettable field trip....

wish we could do more of this in next semester.... =]

this time I try to make oven-dried tomato....

just cut the tomato.....

sprinkle some salt on the tomato......

120 'C for about 2 hours.....

leave cool....

bottle and pour enough oil to cover....

tadaaaaaaaaaaa.................

I don't have olive oil in stock...

so I use normal peanut oil + a clove of garlic to give hint of flavor...

tomato done.....

stress released.....

back to study.... =)

I still love Friday.....

especially when I just done with my last project report on Thursday night.....

to be exact....it's Friday 5:15am.....

woke up in the afternoon......

found that the weather is so nice.......

the sky is so blue.....

the clouds are so fluffy.....

such a nice day..........

it's a waste if I don't enjoy this nice day after the stressful yesterday....

The Pork Place

I went to this place long long long time ago.......last year... ;p

this post is in the draft for so long....

time to let it out for the benefit of all the pork eaters.... =D

what so special about the pork there??

u can guess....they have their own farm.....pig live and eat and grow healthily.....

no hormone injection.....safe to consume....and it's TASTY....

we were sitting outside...so the lighting was quite bad...

food in the pictures doesn't look good.....

let's start the dinner with pork knuckle.......RM40 (half knuckle)

the skin is crispy......the meat doesn't dry out during the frying process......

and the most important thing is............it doesn't stink.....

I mean it doesn't have the smell of pig, which I think it is a good thing....

Sunday.....

a day off for all the people.....

put work aside.....enjoy the day....

so....we planned to cycle in Taman Cahaya......

we as in me and my BFFs.....

ah lai was the driver.....

start picking all of us at 7am....

the sky was quite dark and cloudy when I leave my house....

it started raining around 8am...

"it's ok......maybe it's not raining at Taman Cahaya..." I was thinking...

I was wrong...........

I think the whole Selangor was raining that day.....

the rain never stop.......the cycling plan had to be cancelled...

we went to eat Klang famous "Bak Kut Teh" and then played "lami"at kam's house..... hehe....

so relaxing....playing "lami" and drinking coffee in the nice cold weather...

3pm....time to go home.....and it's still raining.....

spent the afternoon cleaning my room.....

threw all the unwanted old stuffs away......

feel so proud of myself when looking at the clean and tidy room.... =]

later night.....

primary school 6M-er gathering....at Pitstop, Serdang....

I think at least half of the class attended....

by the way, there were 51 students in the class....

before going to the gathering, I thought we would have nothing much to chat about and it would be a boring event....I was thinking to leave early.....

but....I stayed until 12am......

we chat about our life recently...about everything happened in Standard 6.....

it really brought back lots of memories.....so much laughter during the gathering.....

it's really a GREAT success....I think.... =)

the rain.......yes.....it's not yet stop....

it's still drizzling when I reached home that night......

what a perfect weather for sleeping....

had wonderful celebration for my 21st birthday...

my dear doggie is resting in peace.....

past had already passed....

no point holding it for the new beginning.....

although can't really let the sorrow go...

at least make the last day of the year a happy ending....

home alone.....celebrating the new year eve.....

here comes the last Chinese festival of the year -->冬至 (winter solstice)

it always falls on few days before Xmas.....

this traditional Chinese festival is kinda overwhelmed by Santa and Xmas trees....

(erm.....some would said Xmas is not about that old man......no comment about it here)

anyway....my family definitely would celebrate winter solstice festival....

how to celebrate?

basically just family reunion dinner + the traditional festive food

i like these small chewy glutinous rice balls....

totally tasteless.....

that's why they can be served in both savoury and sweet soup....

fish ball?

no no no.......

it's tang yuan.....

I think plain tang yuan taste better in savoury soup....

coz it absorbs the flavour of soup...=)

this is the sweet type of tang yuan.....

pumpkin tong sui....hehe.....

my stomach full with tang yuan tonight......

I had two awesome celebrations.....

avec ma famille @ Le Bouchon

It is a French dining restaurant at Bukit Bintang

it's a cozy restaurant....I like the interior....

front part of the restaurant is pub...
passed by the bar......go to the dining area through this short hallway....

the waiter pulled the chairs and also unfolded the serviette for all of us.....excellent service....=)

time to order......we took almost 30min to decide what to eat....

after placing order.....some herb buns were served with butter.....

the bun smell so nice......*sniff sniff*

took a bite.....wow!! SOFT but still springy and abit chewy......
it's just the way that a perfect bread suppose to be....for me la....hehe....

I ordered a 4-course set meal....

appetizer....
Gratin d’asperges aux truffes du Périgord et au Champagne
(Gratin of asparagus with Champagne sabayon and black truffles from Périgord)

if you wonder where's the truffle....it's the black piece of mushroom-like thing on the right....
the left one is flower....yes....only one small slice in the dish.... =="
I didn't find it special though....it's abit crunchy like black fungus and it's not as flavorful as I thought...
but I like the sabayon sauce....light and sour....it's a good sauce for appetizer....^^

Coquilles St Jacques grillées et fricassée de champignons sauvages, sauce au Porto

( Grilled sea scallops with wild mushroom fricassee and Port wine sauce)

this is my favourite savoury dish in the set.....

scallop is fresh.....it's not overcooked....still juicy and springy....

it is always fun to eat fish roe.....like the funny explosion in the mouth when I bite it....

mushroom with Port wine sauce... slightly tiny hints of bitter....

I think due to the alcohol or what....

the sauce did not overwhelm the scallop....GOOD!!

Magret de canard rôti au miel de montagne, échalotes confites et fricassée de légumes aux tomates séchées au soleil

(Mountain honey roasted duck breast, confit shallots and fricassee of vegetables with sundried tomatoes)

I was abit worry when I chose this dish...
duck breast that I afraid it might be overcooked, turned out good...

it wasn't dry and still tender.....
although the skin I thought would be crispy, it wasn't at all.....

Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5....=D
I like the black shallot confit that was dripped around the duck artistically.....
slight hints of sweetness... like marmite.... match so well with the duck....yum yum...
oh ya!!! the deep fried ball at the corners of the plate
it's so nice....the texture is like deep-fried mashed yam and taste like that too...
but the menu said it's fry vegetable with sundried tomatoes...hmm.....dunno la....
i just LOVE it....hehe....

Crème brulée aux framboises
(Crème brulée with raspberries)

crack the caramelized sugar and dig some creme brulee and put into mouth......
the cream is smooth and creamy......not too thick or light....
just the right sweetness with the sugar .....yum yum.....
the under the creme brulee got a layer of raspberry jam....
a great dessert to end my dinner....=D

it's the best time to have some wine, isn't? =p

so I brought the French rose to the restaurant...

the one that I bought in the wine tasting event...

it was a great dinner....

but it just took too long for 1 dinner.....

we spend 2 and half hours for dinner that night....

around 18 friends from high school and uni came....

buffet style....we didn't order catering since there wasn't many people....

my mom prepared the dishes.....

I cooked a few too...

I make chocolate fondue, pasta and baked potatoes....

all of them were clear into the stomach...

so proud of myself.... =P

the cerewet ling likes the baked potatoes I make....wohohoho....

so happy......hehe....

for sure....my birthday cake was that too....=D

everyone was crazy over the red shiny juicy strawberry on the cake....

before the candle blowing session began....

got a HUGE surprise from my dearest siblings.....

they gather birthday wishes video from the people I know...

and make it in a really nice video.....

the most surprise part was the wishes video from the UK people.....

I was so surprised and touched.....

crying non stop.....tears of joy....=D

love love to my family....(= 3=)

thanks all the friends who take the effort attending my party....

some of them travelled from Seremban...from Seminyih...from KL...

some of they had some other appointment that night too.....

but they still take the effort to come...

really appreciate a lot....

French Wine Tasting

This week is "la semaine du goût" (the week of taste)
Alliance Francaise KL organised a series of activities about French cuisine....
French wines tasting was one of them.....
with a wine wholesaler--Cave and Cellar

it was on Thursday.....6pm at AFKL....
the French institute where I learn my French....=)
nothing is free in this world....we had to pay RM10 to join the event....

3 types of wine were served...
supposed to be 4...but they cancelled one....
yes....u guess it...the most expensive one....

everyone was served with some snack to go with the wines....

there were some grapes...

slices of baguette with 2 types of topping: slices of tomato & cheese....onion & grated cheese....

started with the Côtes de Provence Rose AOC

the pinkish wine.....

it was light and fresh....fruity... I like it.... =)

hardly find any rosé wine at hypermarkets here...

I had 2 glasses of rosé wine...hehe....

this was drunk half....=)

then served the Beaujolais Villages AOC

the red wine...

the colour was red-ruby......

this was light as well.....

it's quite young....not bad.....

the last one.....Médoc AOC

red wine too....but the red was more intense than Beaujolais Villages

it was full-bodied and intensed and not very tart....

I don't like the wines that are very acidic.....

this was quite good as well.....=)

I'm not any wine expert.....couldn't taste the specific flavor of the wines....

just my personal preference...

my favourite one was still the pinkish wine....=)

looked at the price......RM56.....

not very expensive.....

so I bought one bottle.....hehe.....

the wine tasting ended at 8pm.....

after that......went to The Mist for YeongJian's birthday.....

ended my night/morning at 3am.....

exhausted...... (+_+)

luckily I had no class on the next day.....

I am so excited about going back to classes....

from 9am-5pm

with 1 hour break ONLY.....

it's EXHAUSTING......for the very first day of my year 2.....

especially I had just finish a 12-hour promoter job on Sunday....

brain was totally not working today.....

can't process any information in class....

feel weird when holding the pen and try to write....

it's time to get serious....

erm....after enjoying week 1...... ;p

my mom always cooks a lot every time when it's a BIG DAY.....
vegetarian dinner.....

my all time favourite vegetarian dish...
braised vegetarian chicken feet with mushroom...

the chicken feet absorbed the gravy like tofu pok....yum yum
and the mushrooms have a wonderful meaty texture...tender and smooth....
could have 1 full bowl of rice with this dish alone....=D

after dinner....

these are all the thngs I know about Sekinchan.....

the plan of Sekinchan family trip was on hold for few months due to a cold war.....

it's finally resume on 1st day of Hari Raya....^^

we though all people had already gone back to hometown...

and the car could fly all the way to Sekinchan.....

we're so wrong.........

it took us 3 hours to get there.....==

the FIRST thing we did when we reached there....

got ourselves stuffed with SEAFOOD!!! ^^

all seafood restaurant full with people......

mostly KL people I guess....based on the car plate...

we had our seafood lunch at BIG seafood restaurant with air-con.....

at the end of the meal, we were guessing how much does it cost us.....

it turned out RM109...... 0.O

dai dou lan..... (so damn worth it) XD

had a walk to the jetty after lunch.....

to see if there is any fresh seafood to grab......
answer was NO..... =(
the fishermen would stay at the sea for 3 days......

after refill the energy with seafood....

time to do our MAIN mission there....

this was the thing........the main reason why we went Sekinchan....

they grow along the road side of paddy field....

we're plucking the fruits for rats.......

because they are building a kingdom above the ceiling....

it's POISONOUS fruit that will bring their kingdom down... hehe...
there were few old men very kind...

they riding motorbike and passing by......

they stopped and told us, "it's POISONOUS de.....for rats...you can't eat...."

after getting enough rat fruit.....

there were a lot of mangoes hanging on the trees.....

but most of them still green in colour....
the owner said they can only be harvested after 2 weeks..... T^T

we can't go home with empty hand......

went to the rice factory to buy rice...hehe....

20 kg of normal local rice.....2 kg of Pearl rice....2 kg of brown rice....

hmm....don't have to buy any rice in the coming month....hehe....

the sun was going to set........

time to go home......

rest well and start my two days of hell in the next two days.... T_T

Milwaukee Steak Corner

Mom lazy to cook dinner last Saturday.......
so we went to this Milwaukee Steak Corner, nearby Jusco Cheras Selatan...
this was the second time we eat there....
the food there didn't give me a good impression when we 3

just wanna give it another try.......since my mom think it's nice.....

4 of us ordered 4 main course.....

Grilled salmon.......

this was nice.....=)

then the lamb.......

sauce and the taste was nice......
but it's a bit too hard.......
need to chew a bit longer before swallow.....

forgot what's this.....
it's Dory fish.....better quality one (according to the waiter)
ok.....gave it a try.....
nothing could go wrong with such simple dish....

it looks cheesy.....and I love cheese......
thought it would be nice.....
haiz.....disappointing.....it's tasteless.....
ask for a slice of lemon and squeeze the juice on the fillet....
ermm....taste nicer.......=)

we ordered ostrich steak too.....
accidentally deleted the picture....
just imagine the lamb steak with darker colour.....
that's how it looks like....
same type sauce was used as the lamb.....not bad....
but you just got to exercise your jaw much longer when eating it....

21st MISSION!!

Continue from previous post......

so......me and QW took the bus together and back to KL on Saturday....
reached around 330pm.......
started the journey to a further southern state after chilling a while at my home......
we were heading to Seremban.....^^
not for the siew pau or crab....
we went there for a bear.....Vishnu.....
he's a merdeka boy.....means his birthday is on 31st of August.....

MAIN MISSION: give a birthday surprise
because both of us couldn't join his 21st birthday party on Monday (30th).....
so we came up with this plan 1 month+ ago......

oh ya....this is the birthday present from us and other notti. friends....
all the way from Penang......hehe....

I never been to his house before.....
my map/GPS was QW.....who has been there before.....
had some problems finding the way.....but at the end we still managed to get there.....
appeared in front of his gate around 830pm.....

he totally has no idea that we would be there......
he's so surprise.........
and we're so happy..........

MISSION COMPLETED \(^o^)/

Stayed one night at his house....
accompanied him to Jusco to buy some stuff for his birthday party......

took some random shot while he's driving.....

Penang FOOD trip

It was a hot and sunny Wednesday....
3.20pm: got on the train at Serdang....happy that the train reached 2 minutes earlier....

3.48pm: train reached KL Central......no problem to make it to my bus at 4pm....

3.50pm: train still stayed in KL Central....some people were happy that they didn't miss the train....

3.51pm: stupid train still stopped at the same place......but it's ok...... KL station very near only.....

3.52pm: WTH......train would only start moving when some signal was given...

3.53pm: called the bus company thousands times...nobody picked up..... hoping for miracle...

3.54pm: thank god that the train finally start moving....

3.55pm: idiot train stopped again after leaving KL central station....

4.00pm: the train finally reached KL station.....but it's also the time for my bus to leave....

ME.....dash out of the train to the bus stop once the door opened....
with a red sling bag on shoulder and big fat luggage in hand....
started racing with the time......100m seems like the longest distance to me....
I wish I could just run across the railway instead of using the overhead bridge.....

at the end......I was able to make it.....phew.... lucky day (^_^)v

4:10pm....bus started moving.....there's my journey to Penang began....

8:30pm....reached Penang safely.... qw came and pick me up from bus terminal...

it's basically a food trip....didn't go for sightseeing....mostly eat eat eat.....hehe....

we went straight for dinner at Kimberly street....
my first meal of the trip....

kuey teow in drain-water-looking soup + almond soup + 四果汤

let's me tell you what's inside this super NICE but bad looking kuey teow soup
pig intestine, pig blood jelly, pork, slices of duck meat, duck blood jelly and curled thick kuey teow
this bowl is full of flavor......yum yum....
it's usually sold out by 9pm....
ME so lucky that day.....hehe....

this is "cockroach" soup..... for people who don't like it....
this soup has same fate as durian.....people either accept or think it's disgusting.....
ME....could accept it...
the first taste of soup was alright....
then slowly the bitter taste buds on my tongue became active....
the bitterness stayed in my mouth for a min.....
to reduce the bitterness-->eat with 油条

but the best way is to order another bowl of sweet soup....

四果汤 contains 4 types of nut/seed/bean....
sweet solution for the bitter almond soup

Late breakfast in the next day.....
simple toasted wholemeal berad + Philadalphia cheese + blue cheese + chef Q special vinaigrette...

Dinner: home-cooked food prepared by qw and his family

didn't take the pic of the Japanese dinner.....paiseh.....hehe...
we had tempura...soba...baked mussel....teppanyaki beef.....

Friday was public holiday.....I followed qw and his family to Butterworth.....
for lunch...we had hor fun at an old chinese shop.......
the name is.......erm..........can't remember....
it's Ipoh style...hor fun with white chicken.....
the prawn wantan was nice there too.... =D

not long after lunch....qw brought me to a famous roadside Penang laksa....
no address....no name....it's opposite Tan jetty....

Penang people are really true food lovers...
can bear with anything as long as the food is delicious....

this is the laksa ......
yum yum.....but i think there's too much chili padi....
a bit spicy to my taste....

best thing to have in a hot afternoon....
jelly is soft and springy....
it's refreshing and not too sweet with the lemon in it...=)

went for a walk at the opposite Tan jetty.....
quite a peaceful place........

Dinner.....qw's family planned to eat the fried kuey teow at somewhere I dunno....
by the time we reached.....the uncle was packing his stuff already.....too bad....
so we went to Jelutong....a place like Petaling street in KL....
had tong sui...fried kuey teow...popiah...apong...
the apong was so soft and light............it's the best apong I ever had.....=D

bungkus qw back to KL on Saturday morning....lolz....
for a close course mate of mine and best friend of his.....=D

didn't do much activity other than eating during this trip......
didn't take much picture too...... anyway.....the best memory is stored in my brain....=D
I am so grateful to QuWern and his family....for the great warm hospitality...
it's a great trip despite the rushy starting.....=)

2010 30-hour Famine

Second time joining 30-Hour Famine DIY camp.....
Date: 21-22 August 2010
Venue: SMJK (C) Serdang Baru 1
there would a countdown event for the last 4 hours at Putra Indoor Stadium....

It is a global movement against hunger and poverty
organised by World Vision.....
Some other countries have already done this earlier than Malaysia....
The theme for this year is Urban Poverty.........

We could donate any amount we wish to 30-Famine....
But for joining the camp and countdown event, we have to raise Famine fund of minimum
-Rm80 for students....
- Rm120 for working adults
- Rm50 for kids...
The funds will help care for the urban children in Thailand and Myanmar, fight HIV/AIDS in China and improve the lives of senior citizens, orphans and people living with disablilities in Malaysia....

In this camp, all the participants would be fasting for 30 hours......
for kids of 4-12 years old.....they would only be fasting for 8 hours.....
the oldest camper in our camp was a 60-year-old grandma.....
this means anyone of you could join the event.....

we were not sitting and waiting for the time to pass......
there were activities for us to experience the life of a street kid....
Watched the video about urban poverty in real life.....
We were not allowed to bathe in this food-less 30 hours....

In the last 4 hours....
we all went to the countdown event......
there were quite many celebrities joined the event.....
singing and sharing the info about the life of the poor....
video and simple game to let us learn about global issues.....

it's ok if you have missed this event....
you still can help lighting up the lives of the poor.....

it's a restaurant run by a Japanese chef.....

small but cozy environment.....

food is very attractive
most importantly.....for set meal....
the price is very reasonable and the serving is definitely worth the price....=D

Drinks: always order Green tea

There are a lot of choices in the menu......
most type of Japanese food you could and couldn't think of......

TEMPURA SET DINNER

for sure....tempura is a must in the set.....
prawn, mushroom, brinjal, sweet potato and a leaf that I don't the name....

the set also included.....
chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg), rice, miso soup

the rice is just normal rice, not the sticky japanese rice....

the set is not end yet......

2 pieces of salmon sashimi, a little hot pot, salad and some seaweed.....

this super big set meal that can't fit in 1 photo.....
only cost RM22!!

OKONOMIYAKI
pork (RM18)

hardly find it in most Japanese restaurant in Malaysia....
its diameter.....erm.....around 8" I guess.....
1 person can't finish it....
yum yum.....I like it....=)

with 10% service charge and 5% Government tax......
whole dinner takes a RM50 note away from pocket....
only get to try two things that time.....
taste is really NICE.......much better than many Japanese restaurant franchise.....

exactly after 14 days of internet-less life at home.....

Had japanese dinner at home two weeks ago....
just realised that we like to experiment with food recently.....
we = me and my siblings...

the MENU

Side dish: Radish + marinated seaweed

the radish was used to make stock for miso soup.....
cut it in a nice cute cylinder and let it bathe in the miso soup to absorb the flavor...
the seaweed was bought from Japan months ago....hehe....

First thing comes into mind is sushi when think of Japanese food.....

Rolled sushi....

filling: crab stick + pumpkin.....

Prawn Rice Ball

on a piece of plastic wrapping....
put a piece of prawn then some rice on top
squeeze the rice to the shape of ball.....hehe....

don't know what is this called....
erm.......unagi rice?

for sure we didn't grill the unagi ourselves....
it was bought from Jusco....hehe....
rice wasn't plain rice....
it's cooked with carrot and mushroom...
then put the whole piece of unagi on top when it's almost done....=)

Our stomach full of rice that night......

it's not really authentic Japanese cuisine.....

Euro Deli -- a non halal German restaurant
sells and serve mostly pork......
this restaurant was recommended by huiyen....

actually I have been there for buffet few years ago.....on new year eve.....
forgot which year already......
that time was with my siblings and cousins....
this time....I went with quwern...=>

It's located at Jalan Yap Kwan Seng.....
and I forgot where exactly the restaurant......
the google earth and map weren't very reliable....
but still managed to find it at the end......
you have to turn left after you pass by the Old Town shop lot before a beauty center..
everything is on your left....

maybe it was wednesday night...the restaurant was quite empty.....

ordered two main course......

sausage + ham palette (RM35.90)

some fried pancake?? and German pickles as side dish....

German sausage is the BEST....hehe....

the famous German pig knuckle (RM29.90)

super duper fattening.....

but it was NICE.......

love the crispy and salty skin....

Two people with M size stomach couldn't really finish two main course.....

thought my stomach was gonna explode.....

my advice if you wanna go there: bring more friends to share the dish or order less dish.....

for suggesting and planning a movie outing tonight.....
even things were not going as planned....
we still got to watch the movie we wanted.....

before the movie started
ling told us that her friend told her that 'Inception' would be a movie that gonna blow your mind.....
and IT WAS!!!!

I could not get what the movie was about from its trailer and tv ads...
just roughly knew it is a show about dream......
never expected it would be so thrilling.....
there was no space for me to rest after the first 30 minutes of the show....
it was such relief when the show ended.....

my mind now is still cloudy....
a bit confuse...a bit excited...a bit suspended...
can't really think clearly yet...

I am not going to sleep tonight....
leaving in 40 minutes time to Broga Hill a.k.a Bukit Lalang
to see sunrise.......^^
hopefully can see a big round golden fire ball in the sky at 6am later.....

this late night movie definitely worth my time of sleeping.....

so we went on Sunday noon.....
with ling, ah lai, wei kee, keong, jac and Seah for sure....

this small little humble cafe is located at a unknown shop lot in a hidden Bangsar housing area
even it is small.....it has nice decoration.....
first thing caught my eyes was this old bike when I stepped into the cafe....

take a look at their cafe......
see the white sewing machine on the white table?
the lady owner use it to sew and stitch some handmade craft....
and you can buy it.....
they all look cute.....^^

forgot to mention about their menu.......
it is printed on cloth.......
so special......

our food was here after 30 minutes of waiting....

the drinks I like the most was ling's green tea vanilla.......
the redbean vanilla I ordered taste a bit funny to me....
I think there was soda in it and slight tang from plum.....

my lunch.......

taste not bad.....
it's quite a big serving......2 light eater can share one......

dessert is a MUST for me.....^^
homemade tofu cake.....

3 layers from top to bottom: green tea tofu --> cheese tofu --> digestive biscuit crust
it was really really really nice.....
a light dessert too sweet......everything is just combined well.....
it has very mild tofu smell....
even the tofu-hater--> ling also like it.....=)

used dried mushroom instead of fresh one....
the mushroom turned out a bit too chewy.....
wasted the good quality dried mushroom....

the first word learned in my very first French class
re-learning ABC in french.....
time rewind.....back to kindergarten....in french version....
followed the teacher pronounce the alphabet....

yes....french french french.....
a beautiful language I wanted to learn since form 5.....
have been searching for a language center that offer french course for very long time....
finally found this place....Alliance Fraicaise... at Lorong Gurney, KL

signed up for the semi-intensive class....
every Wednesday and Friday....930am--1pm

the jam is terrible.....><" I mean the traffic jam on the way to KL in the morning..... I listened a lot to the traffic report on radio about the slow traffic in KL..... but it's none of my business before last Wednesday..... now I finally experienced it on last Wednesday..... leave my house at 745am and reached the center after 1 hour the journey is actually only take 25min...... average speed was 20km/hr I can go attend class in another branch at Jalan Telawi, Bangsar...... but there will be another problem.....parking..... despite the terrible morning jam.....I still love the interesting french class.... I can get up from bed once my alarm rings..... no matter how tired and sleepy I am..... one more thing added to my favourite list.... my favourite day --> Wednesday and Friday.....^^

The second summer trip with my same notti. friends
but minus Yeong Jian, Bel, Patrick, Gabe, David and Semuel and many many....
this is the 2nd time I visit to Kuching, Sarawak......
with QuWern, HuiYen, King, Vishnu, William, SzeWei, Sherrie, Ash and JingXin....
the exploration of 5 girls and 5 guys to the cat city begin.....
the very beginning of the trip was a failure......=="
something funny happened when we taking the flight from LCCT to KIA at the first day...
we almost missed our flight!!!
here's the story.....we check in our luggage 1 hour before depart time (945am)....
and had breakfast at McD......until 930am......
we heard the staff calling some names as we walking to the boarding gate.....
"Ei...Are they calling our names??"
"I think so...Shit!! The ticket is written 'Boarding Gate will be closed 20 minutes before departure'.. "
it's the first time my name being called in the airport for being late....lolz....
typical Malaysian time.....

it's a food and cultural trip.....
tour arranged by Ash's mom travel agency.....
we stayed in Kuching town in the first 4D3N.....
this is our room
quite spacious.....with plasma TV!!!

First the cultural part......
the places visited are basically the same places I went during the standard 6 trip.....
recalled a lot of memories when revisit the places.....

Kuching landmark....the old Chinese temple....

obviously....it's the Ethnology Museum we visited...

Semenggoh Wildlife Center

didn't get to see the orang utan when I was standard 6....
we're so lucky to see many of them that day......
coz it depends on their mood whether they wanna work or not....

Kupo Saba....one of the long houses in Sarawak
tuak were served as welcoming drink....

I still have the little vase I bought during the last trip there......^^

Cultural Village...

the weather in Kuching for the first 2 days was freaking HOT.....
the third day was a rainy day......the rain last whole day.....
bought the disposable raincoat which made us look like a giant walking garbage bag......

Korean food there was NICE.......
there's a Korea settlement and this restaurant is run by Korean......

In a boring Saturday night, I discovered a bakery which located at SS15 Subang (nearby Public Bank)

I first saw the name of bakery on a plastic bag my mom brought home.....
the white translucent plastic bag with just the shop name in golden colour has caught my eyes.....
my shopping experience told me that shops with nicely designed plastic bag usually have nice product too.....
straight away went online and google about the bakery.....
quite a lot of good review about the bakery.....
get direction from google map.....
went to the shop on Wednesday to buy the cake for father's day celebration....
I bought the green tea cake......
500g for RM27
green tea sponge layered with red bean cream......
no fancy decoration......
but the cake is amazing!!!
the sponge is soft and springy and moist......
can smell the light Japanese green tea smell in the cake....
the cream sandwiched between is not those greasy tasteless sweet cream......
I didn't feel it will fatten me like those heavy butter icing or whipped cream.....
it's light and smooth and full with milk flavour.....
overall the cake is not very sweet......the right sweetness....
I can have the whole cake by myself.....hehe....

there're lots of other pastry too......
among all the bread that all look attractive.....
I bought a loaf of danish toast for RM6.50......
after slightly toasted the bread.....it's crispy outside and soft inside......
it tastes NICE without any spread on top.....

another cute pastry I bought there......Danish Snow Ball for rm5.....
initially it was round......thanks to my clumsy sis that reshape it......=="
the outer crack shell is crispy and sweet.....icing sugar sprinkled on top.....
it thought it was empty/filling-less inside.....
there's sponge cake inside the danish pastry......
quite a funny combination.....but it tastes nice too......^^

the area of shop is not big.......
with only around 10-15 people in the shop during the time I went..........
it's hard for me to walk around too......
I didn't know that it is so famous till the day I went.....
there's another cake shop next to it.......same size as RT pasty house....
but it looks so much wider and brighter.......
because there isn't ANY customer in that shop.....

RT pastry house is now my favourite bakery....
gonna try other cake and bread there again.....=D

today is 16th of May = 五月初五 = 端午节

they appeared in my house since last week......

fresh from pot.....draining the water.....

they always come in two groups......

the plain type........

eat with sugar or kaya......
small and cute.......easy to wrap too.....
but took 5 hours to cook it......

the savoury type......
just need two hours of cooking....
but skill is needed in making this.......
tried to make a few of them......passed!! =D
even they don't look as nice as my mom's one.....

wanna thank my dear mama for making all those rice dumpling.....
she's always the busiest before the festival.....
prepare the ingredients.....make the dumpling......cook them for hours.....
a long process........

there is another person we need to appreciate too.....
without him......there won't be any 粽子and this festival might not even exist....
this is the portrait of him.....

there will be a story / legend behind every festival......
skip the long winding sad story.......
straight to the ending.....
so at the end.....he committed suicide by jumping into a river......
people created this rice dumpling to feed the fishes so that they wouldn't eat his dead body......
and 端午节 is the day commemorates the death of this great patriotic guy.....

can't remember the whole complete story.....=p

but at least I know today is 端午节

Southern historical city

Last paper was math......
and it was on last Thursday.....
and ended at 4:00 pm

hopped on cars straight after the exam.....
head to the Southern historical city--Melaka

had crab dinner at Seremban.....
with the usual big group
for the last time in this year....
me, Bel, Hui Yen, Sherrie, king, Qu Wern, Will, Vishnu, Ash, Semuel, David, Yeong Jian and Gab....

time to say goodbye around 10pm.....
Only 8 people continue the journey to the south....
me, hu yen, sherrie, king, qu wern, will, vish and ash......
the others.....2 should be in USA by now.....
the rest might be enjoying their summer at home...

reached Melaka in the midnight......
monopoly--bath--mamak--bed
end the first day in Melaka

Friday was Wesak day....
3 days of holiday......
I think everyone from northern cities and our neighbour from south all went to Melaka during the time....
the town full with Singapore and KL cars..... = ="

woke up and drive to the famous fish ball mee for breakfast

hmmm....what to do after breakfast?
it's not a good idea to explore the historical city under the big hot sun
exposed too much to UV light could cause skin cancer.....
so all these puteri and putera lilin decided to hang around Dataran Pahlawan Megamall
watched Shrek the Third for lunch
and then Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time for supper

there's long time between movies....
so we went to the beach....to see the famous Strait of Melaka

enjoying the "fresh" sea breeze......

it's 5pm!!! time for the Capitol Satay to open.....
reached the restaurant around 5:30pm...
look at the super long queue stretching along the road
quite many people did the same thing as me....
take the camera and take the picture of this epic scene in Melaka
don't feel surprise if you see me appear in some unknown's blog/facebook.....

we quickly joined the line....and wait wait wait wait wait.....
for 1 hour...........
finally get our butt seated.....

the shop is so generous....
they charge the expensive seafood at normal price--0.80 sen only...

but there's limited amount for each table.....

the satay sauce was really thick.....
they put in two big ladle of some secret mix spice and groundnut

end the second exhausted day in Melaka after the midnight movie....
planned to have dim sum for breakfast at 8am in the next morning....
ended up having chicken rice ball for brunch...
gave up the famous one which might need an hour queue.....
had the not-so-famous one.....

pack our stuff....tidy up the house.....
on the highway at 4pm......
reached uni at 6pm.....

had a 2+2+1 dinner at Bubba Gump before the people going back.....
it was fun.....^^

3 more weeks to meet the same people again......
will be see them soon in the "Cat City"
going to the East again......hehe......

miss the people.....

Mother's day.....fall on 9th of May.......
usually we will prepare some special dinner at home....
but we are quite busy around this time.....
so we celebrated it in a way that most people do......
taking my dearest mama out for dinner......

having dinner at this place-->

as stated......they serve Hakka Cuisine.....
I am hakka......we have hakka food almost every single day......
why we still taking our mama to a restaurant that serve hakka cuisine while she can cook most of the dishes on the menu.....

Ying Ker Lou is chosen because they serve 盆菜
my mama wanna eat 盆菜 since long time ago.....
but very limited restaurant serve this dish.....

so what is 盆菜 ??
translate literally would be pot dish....lolz.....
basically just few types of dish being served in a single pot....
picture would give a better definition on that......

there are six dishes in a single pot......
yee mee is buried under all those dishes....
it absorb all the best flavour from the dishes place on top of it.....

it was the best dry yee mee I have ever eaten.....

by the way.....we had this as well.....

it is 擂茶
a very healthy and yummy dish......
vege + nut + mint + dried prawn + rice + green tea soup = 擂茶

the OC Cameron Trip

slept at 330am and woke up at 530am.....
gathered at uni around 730am.....
for the finale~~~

the trip was nearly canceled due to transport problem.....
luckily green light was given at the end.....^^

it was really an super early morning......
everyone's stomach was empty....
before going on.......
fill the stomach with some not-so-healthy mamak breakfast @ Ibrahim Maju

get in to the cars......
start the engine.....
go on the winding road.......
JOURNEY to the HIGHLAND officially started.....wohooo.....

stopped by a town to grab some lunch and also did some shopping......
because we were informed that our chalet is totally ALONE......
sound so luxury huh....

somebody printed out the itinerary that Shanjiv planned
and he himself didn't plan to follow it.....
nobody cares about the itinerary.....
scrap it.......followed our own plan-less schedule.....

went on the road again.......
the road getting more winding and smaller as we advance to our chalet......
view outside the car getting clearer and greener.......
passed by the BOH tea house......
took right exit to the less traveled road.....

after a 3km super winding and narrow road.......
they finally park their cars......

we took this way up to our chalet......
it is the ONLY way to get there.......
and ONLY allows ONE car in ONE direction at ONE time
curious about where were we staying?
our chalet is belonged to Malaysia Nature Society......
it's located at the heart of BOH tea plantation.......
with AWESOME green valley/hill view........
the chalet consists of 4 rooms.....
and we OWN the whole chalet for 2D1N.....

let's take a look of our room...............

facilities available in each room:
double queen-size bed with bed sheet
comfortable and supportive pillows with pillow sheets
super warm wind-breaking purple blanket (looks like a giant towel)
bright white light
natural air-con which you can't control the temperature and wind speed.....

shared bathroom and kitchen for every 2 rooms.....
with cooking gas barrel in the bathroom (o.O)
yes...gas...the flammable one that you connect to your stove for cooking.....
it is connected to the water heater for heating purposes.....

placed our bags in the rooms.....
had little chill out moment after a long winding journey.....
after some chilling.......
the OC couldn't sit still until dinner time......
since we're in the middle of tea plantation....
gear up and hike!!!!

used some energy.......
climbed up the hill.....
walked in between the tea plant.....
turned around.....
saw the view that took our breath away........

the evening sun shine on one hill
and create the shadow on another valley/hill.....

met a dog at the beginning of our hike.....
and it followed and hike with us......
like a guardian.........

after hiking.....time for dinner......

she is a skinny mama of 3 pup.....need food to produce milk.....

back from pasar malam.......
washed up and started the craziest night I ever had.......

the night was very cold and breezy........
we're sitting at the balcony.......
cocooned in the warm blanket......
then the opening of the ice box......
1st......everyone had some pure white label whisky + ice to warm ourselves up......
chatting......chilling......laughing.......
finish the 1st one.....came the second bottle-->vodka
again......chatting......chilling......laughing.......
felt that my head was heavy when I half done with the vodka....
the finale--->gold label whisky.......
this was smooth and nicer than the previous two......
by the time for the third cup.....I already getting very high......
kept talking talking talking........
my head was so heavy......
couldn't even walk a straight line....><" then came the best part-----TWISTER
it was so funny to see those tipsy people playing....including me.....
by the way....I was totally conscious during the whole night.....

after playing one round and watching two round.....
I could hardly open my eyes anymore......
it was 3am........good night and sleep tight....... (_ _)zZZ
while others continue until 6am......

the next morning.......
woke up around 9am......
opened the door......
cold breeze blowing on your face......
sitting at the balcony and enjoy the free beautiful view.....

went for a walk with Diane who was the only one woke up around the same time as me......
hill were covered with mist in the morning......
morning dew still hanging at the tip of grass.....
every single view I saw was super duper nice........
blue clear sky.......white fluffy cloud....green hill and valley......

12pm......everyone woke up and leaving around 1pm.......
down from hill we straight went mid valley for dinner and "Kick Ass"
saying goodbye at 12am.......

feel lucky that I joined the club and met those great people......
enjoy the trip so much.....
miss the people too.....

which had lots of negative feedback from those who attended

We had our own private annual dinner at NeroFico
an Italian fine dining restaurant at Damansara Height
it is recommended by David and SW's friends......
dinner is held in the private dining room.....

few cars going to the place where none of us know the way......
so.......GPS is the savior.......I thought......
jx and I...the two serdang girls went by ourselves....
she got the GPS.......
I think wrong coordinate was keyed in or what.....
we were the last people who reached the restaurant.....><

people having BBQ party outdoor......producing lots of carbon.....

the habit of wasting energy and resources continue after the light is switched on.....

All little habits that do not seem important.....actually they do.....

OFF all the electric appliances that not in use......
not putting them into stand by mode.....

AVOID unnecessary shopping......
3 R we always talk about is in this order: reduce-->reuse-->recycle
lots carbon have been produced by the time we recycle something....

CLOSE the tap when brushing teeth.....
the running water is the running gold....

just simple changes in life will make the earth and also all the creature living on it have a longer life span.....

I flew to the East again....
but this time is the further one....
with my family.....

JAPAN....there I go....

the main purpose of this trip is to attend my brother's convocation....

Okayama University of Science

the graduates do not wear the robe we usually see...

guys are wearing formal attire
-->long sleeve shirt, tie, black blazer and trousers and leather shoes

while girls are wearing the traditional kimono with nicely flowery set hair

After completing our main mission there....
time to travel around.....^^

the to-do list I planned for this trip....

1. see the blooming of SAKURA

it is beautiful right?

I expect to see huge pink and white flower bed there

BUT

this was what I saw.....
so sad.....

the weather there still very cold....

most of the sakura are still in this form

the castle should be surrounded by pink and white sakura

but it's not the time yet..... T.T

2. EAT EAT EAT

LOVE the food in Japan

especially those from SEA

the crab is damn big.....
just the crab leg has the length of 1/2 of my arm.....

opened-up "hairy" crab...lolz...
don't what is the real name....hehe....

uni sushi (sea urchin sushi)
it is so so so so delicious...

they have the freshest seafood
all the seafood taste superb
I could clearly taste the sweetness in the delicious sea creatures

addicted to 朝食 (Japanese breakfast)
rice + miso soup + salted salmon

had this as breakfast for 4/7 days

another favourite food --> onigiri
cheap and convenient

3. see the SNOW.....

for first time in my life

I was so excited and quickly went out the hotel to take picture

It was fun to eat ice-cream when the sky is producing ice kacang.....^^

5. HOT spring in snowy day....

this one failed to do.....

because we have no time for that.....

it's been quite some years for my whole family to go on a trip together
really ♥ the trip and enjoyed it very much ....
don't feel like coming back.....
coz there are tons of assignment and report waiting me....

there's paintball activity....organised by Outdoor club....
and i JOINED......don't be surprise about that....
anyway.....it was my first time playing....
I was very excited about it....^^

briefing is a must....especially for newbies like me.....
after a 45-minutes of safety and rules and how to use the marker...blah blah blah.....

then we go to the field.....

the first one was my dear brother......
his birthday was on Saturday......

actually forgot to call and wish him that day....

stress level increased gradually since the first day of study break....

slept early and woke up early to study.....

slept at 1 or 2 o'clock in the morning......
and woke up at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning again....

it's Xmas eve.....

didn't feel like eating at home the same chinese food again....

so went to The Gardens have some western stuff

and most important to feel the festive air in town....

but......as expected......not many people there....

maybe most of the people were in church or balik kampung already....

so.......where we had our dinner?

They only served Xmas Eve set dinner for that day.....

First served the starter for sure

just finished my 团圆饭 (reunion dinner) with my dearest family...
around 9.30pm
a late dinner.....
because we're waiting for my sis...

of cause is the MUST-EAT festive food.....
汤圆 (tang yuan)

the tang yuan before sending into boiling water

look a bit cacat...

but they'll turn round and smooth after taking a hot bath in the delicous soup

the dough for tang yuan is home-made...

by the superwoman in my home-->my mom

the tang yuan more chewy and firm compared to those machine made one.....

had lots of tang yuan as usual....
tang yuan appear in my breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner for today....
it is a bit special this year....
other than the typical sweet tang yuan we usually have....
we also have some savory one this year.....^^

boiled the slurry again....

the soup is added with some 陈皮 (dried orange peel)...

which give hint of refreshing tanginess in soup...^^

home-made stuff is always the BEST...

it was a Saturday morning of a hectic week......
woke up at 10am......
went downstairs.......
searching for food.....
couldn't find any ready-made one....
even bread also habis......
so had to cook myself.....

went upstairs again....
turned on the pc......
continue killing my brain cell for my C coursework.......
I was so concentrating on all those code......
squeezing my brain for more idea.....
then suddenly......some very weird smell just strike into my nose....
and my sight was a bit blur......
i turned and looked around....
my house was full with MIST.......
it's actually smoke....=p
hmm.....where does the smoke coming from......
don't know which useless people open burning......

THEN
a temporary lost memory suddenly restore back to my brain.....
I quickly ran downstairs.......
to the source of the smoke.....
this is what I found-->

guess what are these disgusting stuff...

i planned to cook half-boiled egg as breakfast.....

I purposely save a softcopy of the questions in my Thumbdrive....
I didn't print it out.....because I'm preserving the TREEs....XD
I even purposely get the C-free installer from U-drive.....
and install it into my pc......
so I open my Thumbdrive......
search for the word document.......
and i could not find it.......
I thought I didn't save it......
but then I found it in the next second......
and guess what......

it is saved as .docx

my lousy pc doesn't have office 2007......
I forgot to convert it to 2003 version before saving.....

the sound of jingle bell and the smell of X'mas
make me realize that I am already in the FINAL month of 2OO9
which means my FINAL exam is just 30 days away.....
and sem 1 going to end soon....
and I just safely passed through week 10 of sem 1

FIRST week of FINAL month was hectic....
Monday-->Tenji buffet
this may sound so relaxing....but it starts the hell of my week.....

Tuesday ~~ Wednesday -->lab report and ProE + sick
could feel the weight of my head had increased....
and felt like vomiting for the whole day.....
the sudden illness made me break my own record for NEVER sleep in class......= =
slept for 30min in the super duper boring C programming class....
I even forgot about the important yuncha session with my VIPs that night....
luckily it was postponed.....

Thursday ~~ Friday--> all about math test
everyone studied like hell....
realized that my ProE which I THOUGHT already completed....
is actually NOT......= =

NEXT WEEK...another hectic one....
LAST progress test which is 14 hours from now....
submission of the LAST lab report
submission of LAST ProE drawing
submission of C programming coursework

back to study my test now....

service the KTM la....

very tired yesterday....
but still went for yum cha with my ji mui...
long time didn't meet already....
some more seah just back from Kedah.....
long time no see too....

as a result-->abit overslept this morning...
woke up at 7am......and I need to take the 7.35am train....
brush my teeth + shower + skin care process done in 15 min.....
grabbed a bread and rushing all the way to KTM station.....
and only at this time...
i would pray that the train would be delayed till I was there....=P

reached there around 7.45am.....
the train was really delayed.....
LUCKY....^_^
there the train came after 5 min of waiting.....
standing in front of the train's door...
waiting for the door to be opened......
after 5 seconds.....
the door.....
still closed......
then the auntie in front of me looked at the other doors....
and i did the same thing.....
and saw all the other doors were opened....
except the one in front of me.....= =
so quickly entered the train with the next entrance.....

kinda a empty train....
lots of seats available....
so.....sat down and waiting for the departure......
after 10 seconds.......
the door I went through......
still remain opened......
while I still wondering why it still opened.......
the next moment.......
a voice came from speakers........
announcement by the driver (i guess)....

I wonder when was the last time the train sent to service.....
so cacat.....
thinking would the train "mati api" half way to Kajang.......

or we might stuck in the train coz the door couldn't open when reach Kajang.....
luckily.....all the possibilities I thought of didn't come true.....

reached uni quite early......
the lecture room still locked....
so went to computer lab to do exercises......
met MR......and he told me that today math class canceled already..... O.o

it's confirmed true......
the lecturer has the symptom of delivery......so no class.....

expected......NO CAR AGAIN
no surprise.....a DOWNPOUR AGAIN.....

having runny nose the whole morning.....
keep making "wantan" in the class.....
coz I didn't have enough sleep for the past few days....
damn tired and sleepy...
few people asking the same question when they saw me....
"why u look so depressed?"
just tired and sleepy la...

then surprisingly.....afternoon class was CANCELED...
planned to take the 1.30pm bus home....
but since David said let's go a HIDDEN McD he found for lunch....
due to curiosity....I went......
then took the 3.30pm bus......
the train had been delayed due to the flood between Kajang and Serdang station
waited for 45 min..................................................
then the train came.......

called my mom to fetch me....
got an impatient reply "OK OK OK!"
called again while I reached Serdang and got off from train
wanted to tell her that I'll be waiting at the platform......
ask her to call me when she's almost there....
before I said anything
she straight away replied with impatient tone " COMING ad...Traffic JAM!!"
hang up on me.......><
it really pissed me off in the cold rainy day so i called again and said what I wanna say in a higher volumn.....
then waiting at the platform.....
suddenly there's a lady(i'm not sure she's local or foreigner, looks like malay)
coming toward me and sat next to me.....
i noticed her once i got off from train....
coz she was just sitting there (few bench away from where i was sitting)
while everyone trying to squeeze into the train....
then she started to talk with me.....
"u terlepas train?"
"tak, tunggu orang."
"saya juga.....boleh pinjam phone tak? saya nak call kawan saya."
once she said that.....alarm triggered off in my head....
for sure I refused....and suggested her to use the public phone.....
then she ask if i could borrow her 50 cents to make the call....
ok lo......then i carefully took my purse out and gave her......
after that she left... i keep thinking about all the possibility of her action....
maybe she wanna steal my hp-->1st thought
maybe she would run away with my hp once she take it....
maybe she really need to call her friend but paiseh to ask ppl....
maybe she need money that time...coz i saw her taking a empty shopping bag...
anyway.....i didn't feel bad for not borrowing her my hp
I'm not heartless.....just tried to be careful......
I don't want to buy a new hp if my 1st & 2nd thought was right.....

after that....the platform slowly occupied with people....
and there's a middle-aged foreign man sitting next to me
the same position as the girl sitting before....
the clock there showing next train would be at 2015
he kept looking at his hp and the clock
then asked me..."the train is coming at 8pm?!!"
thinking "how i would know wo.....I'm not the driver la...."
and he started to talk with me....
"the train in Malaysia is bad.. how could you bear with it?"
he's not those yong sui ham sap looking uncles you all think la....
an intellectual and looks like one too.....

the most important point in our 5 min conversation is as followed-->

hot & wet training @ CIAST

Saturday......usually a busy day for me....
but a must-go training take over the original schedule....
a welding and cutting training at CIAST, Shah Alam.....
email stated departing at 7am.......
i woke up at 5.30am and reached there on time.....
there were only 2 people waiting at the bus stop...= =

had some brief intro to our schedule of the day....

first was art of WELDING....
before starting...
PPE....a MUST in workshop....
wear the smelly and dirty leather glove, apron, arm protector......
which wore by thousands of people and never washed before.....
and most IMPORTANT is the head shield.....
unfortunately no one took pic of it.....
it looks quite funny when you wear it on....
coz you couldn't tell who is who by just looking at their head....

PPE on......demo time.....
after some demo by the technician.......
we're required to "draw" 5 straight lines.......
it looked quite easy when watching the guy doing it....
in fact, it really need SKILL.....

first you need to know how to "start the fire"....
the electrode can't touch with the "drawing board" ....
must have gap within 1-3 mm
and sparks will come out from the end of the rod...
like the little firework we used to play.....
if the electrode touches the metal plate....
they will stick together......
and the current passed through then board will sparkle.....

after practice drawing on few lines.....
we started doing the serious one.....
5 lines finished......nothing to do...
so we decided to leave some mark--our initial......^^

after 2.5 hours of self-steaming in the smelly PPE.....
time for lunch.....

1.5 hours break.....
lunch provided........
you know what......"peng ye mou hou ye"
which means cheap/free stuff=low in quality
had a "WONDERFUL" lunch there......
with accompany of flies....
that keep trying to attack our food.....
luckily didn't get food poisoning after that.....

not the normal cutting with scissor for sure....
using torch......
after adjusting the pressure and amount of gas released......
the fire turned into the laser sword in star war......

after the technician examine our previous welding products.....
we need to cut them into half.... T.T
after the normal cutting pattern......
time to have FUN.....(^o^)
performed the art of cutting.....
cut the plate in various shapes......
wanna cut our initial in the center of the plate...
but failed....coz the fire too strong and the plate too small.....

done everything around 3.30pm.....
and it's started to rain.......at the right time.....
coz we're all sweating and feeling hot.....

though it would be a serious training.....
but not......it's quite casual and easy and fun.....^^

stepped into my 20th year of life....
birthday cake with 2 big candles....

another ji mui-->ah lai....who is just born 3 days earlier than me...
so together we had celebration on Sunday....
at her house.....

went to the dirty crowded wet market to buy the ingredients needed....
after a round of washing...cutting...boiling....tasting....
everything was ready around 7.30pm.....
we prepared 3 types of broth-->ikan bilis...tom yam..."ham choi"(salted vege)

but it was the craziest and cruelest part of the celebration
according to the tradition....of nowhere......
and I have no idea who's the hell created this kind of trend.....
after blowing the candles.....
one candle was pushed deep inside the lovely CREAMY cake....
and the me and ah lai should take the candle out using mouth....
I was the first one.....I knew that jac would do the mean job......
and I had already prepared for it......
but still....that jac ganas betul......
i felt a great pushing force applied on my head.....
and at the next moment.....my face turned into a creamy one....= =

licking the cake on lips......it was delicious.....XD

ah lai was the next.....
hahaha......time to have fun.....
joined the mean pushing job.......but her face wasn't as creamy as mine.....
coz part of the cream was already on my face......
the cake kesian betul.....
but still delicious.....hehe...

Monday......going to class as usual.....
in the afternoon.....i stepped into the lecture hall.....
and saw hy, bel, gab.....etc were on the stage...looking at something.....
they asked me "come come"....
by the time i got up there......hy took out a small cake....
and they all started to sing birthday song......
in front of the WHOLE CLASS.... O.O
damn surprised......and pai seh too......
then everyone started to wish me happy birthday after i seated.....

staying overnight at hy's house.....
had STEAMBOAT......
yes.....again....

sam did most of the preparation.....
choices of soup: TOM YAM and chicken essence cube
don't know why everyone likes tom yam so much...
and it always appear in every single steamboat feast......

there was another surprise when we're steamboating happily....
unlike the planned surprise......that was really an unexpected one....
the whole house suddenly blackout.....
after hy opened the lid of the rice cooker.....
coz the soup level was over the max limit already.....
and it just exploded as hy opened the lid.....
and that lead to short circuit.....

end of the steamboat.......
received another giant candy too.....as birthday gift....
which contained a PINK "Dora the Explorer" bottle....
it was the funniest gift i ever had......
after a round of cam whore.....
they continued playing cards.....
and i spend my last few hours of birthday with report.....
but i was kept being distracted.....
coz they all showing off their make-up skill on the loser out there....
including me.....hohoho........
had my very first make-up experience on the King's face....
I think i have the potential to become a good make-up artist....XD

coz the one who having all the photo haven't uploaded yet...

almost forgot to tell you all about a BIG NEW discovery....
i found another guy who is my course-mate....
born on the SAME day as me.....
so ngam......^^

Murder case in the Bathroom

it was Monday......
back from uni by train....tired like hell......
the sun did its job perfectly..... releasing its heat and light....
wish could fly back home immediately.....
home always the best shelter in the world....^^
chilled at home....doing some daily routine....
read newspaper-->dinner time-->TV
mom and dad went the nearby organic shop to watch some cooking demo.....

it was 9 o'clock in the evening......
and i had not shower yet......
to avoid getting scolded......i quickly went upstairs to bathe......
i opened the door and switched on the light of the bathroom.....
suddenly i noticed something was in the bathroom......
a stranger.....not really a stranger though.....
i think i saw it last night.....maybe is the same one....
anyway, it doesn't matter whether we met before or not.....
the main issue there was.......
I COULDN'T SHOWER....with its presence in the bathroom....
so i asked it to leave the room.....
it just ignored me.....
then i started to threaten it......
it still ignore me.....

no choice.....i took anything nearby as weapon......
but i found it too soft.....
so i took another one which was thicker and harder
holding the weapon tight in my hand
took a deep breath......
hesitated again....
so i decided to give it my last warning-->out or DIE
however....it didn't even bother me......><

last warning given......
kept telling myself not to be mercy......
closed my eyes.... and hit it as hard as i could....
with some screaming while i doing that........ (> o<)
opened my eyes to check its condition......
surprisingly.....it still ALIVE!!!
such a strong creature.....
no wonder its species can survive for millions years.....
so to end this..........
i relocated it.......to the toilet bowl......
and released it to the sewage treatment plant.....

after that.......
i quickly splashed the wall with lots of water....
to clean the evidence of the murdering the little strong creature.....

feeling very guilty to take away a live.......using my own hand....
especially it is keong's relative....
haiz.......
hope the "little keong" could depart peacefully.......and happily....

she finally step into the first day of her second ten year of her life.....

black thursday

I damn dislike Thursday now....
it's not because of the tight schedule of the day....
but because of the shuttle bus service of my uni.....

wanna express my anger here yesterday....
but too tired already.....
so now regain my energy and can slowly type my post....

so here's the story.....
the bus will come once every HOUR......
I wanted to take the 3.30pm bus....
so I rushed from computer lab to the bus stop around 3.20pm....
i reached the bus stop and took out bus ticket and prepared to get on.....
then the driver suddenly asked us to wait....
then my heart sank when he said that.....
i was praying in my mind that the bus wasn't full....
but obviously......my prayer didn't work.....
so guess what.......
i need to wait for next bus......
which was ONE HOUR later......><
same thing happened last Thursday......
never think that it would happen AGAIN yesterday.....
for the same stupid reason.....
this is all chemical and civil students' fault....
because they all don't have class on Fri....
so most of them who stay on campus will go back home.....

then after a loooooooong waiting.......
i went earlier to the bus stop to prevent same thing happen again....
there were super duper lots of people waiting.......
then the bus coming.....all the people walked toward the moving bus.....
the driver forced to stop the bus in the middle of the road.....
the situation was like a group of desperate refugee carrying bags walking to the only hope of them.....
and the bus was besieged in no time.....
everyone wanna get on the bus.....
the people kept pushing you to the side....
got one pity girl in front of me was stuck between a big fat guy's armpit and the bus......
i was holding some pumpkin soup packed in a container and i damn scared that the container could not sustain the great squeezing force from those desperate people......
after a round of pushing and squeezing...
finally i got on the bus successfully........

it was a hot and sunny day.....
the bus air-con was sucks.....
the whole journey to KTM station was so torturing.....
my back produced a lot of salty fluid due to the heat....

gone through two consecutive BLACK thursday.....
won't let it happens for the third time.....
will make my car exercise more every Thursday....

Saturday was a good day......
one of the most important chinese festival
it has few English name....
mid-autumn festival...mooncake festival...lantern festival....
whatever you call it....
it is a festival about moon......
and always be a day for mooncake and lantern and candles.....
and reunion dinner....
too bad my bro couldn't come back for it.... =<

my mom suppose to go to a wedding dinner.....
since it's "Zhong Qiu Jie"....she chose to have dinner with us.....
had a simple celebration with my family after a super full dinner.....
to create the environment of this festival......
we need to prepare quite a few things.....

FIRST of all

MOONCAKEsss

many of them.......
we started eating mooncakes two weeks in advance....XD
so some of the boxes in the picture are actually empty....

for sure.....not only mooncake on the table....
some traditional food.....yam and pamelo....
and some fruit....nut which I dunno the name....and
mooncake in jelly form....(my mum made it for the 1st time)

the best match with the sweet mooncakes.....

not only one.....

ME
working hard to create a warm and romantic environment....hehe..

after that......

CANDLES......

put the candles on little pieces of wood.....
so that the wax wouldn't melt and stick on the wall....
which is extremely hard to clear....

food...checked
lantern...checked
candles...checked
done with the setting....
so
my family and I were chit-chating happily.....
enjoying the great food on table....
at a warm and nice environment...
surrounded by candles and lanterns......
then.....
in the middle of our happy chat.....
we smelt something....
like something burned.......
then my mom shouted "oi!!!! the lantern burn lo!!! quickly save it!!!!"

this incident happens every year...
during mid-autumn festival.....
so we managed to react fast.....
before the lantern burned into ash fully....XD

had a simple yet happy celebration......
went to bed around 12am....
with a full stomach filled with a lot of mooncakes and tea and fruit....
need to diet already.....
if not, my face gonna be like a mooncake.....T.T

tiring week

first week of classes......finally end....
damn tiring.....
everyday wake up at 6.30am......
wanna take the 7.30am KTM and 8am bus.....

my body can't accept the sudden change of lifestyle.....
always protest around 3pm......
nose would start producing more mucus......
then it would lead to red eyes.....
and eye lids would keep falling due to the gravitational force......

I thought I am taking 6 subjects......
in fact...it is not that little.....
according to my course structure......
there are 8=lapan=eight=ba subjects.....
sit in the class from 9am to 3, 4, 5pm......
sit till my butt also flat already....= =

the first week should be the easiest one.....
but I already start feeling the pressure....
the worst hasn't here yet.....
this week is already so tiring......
it will be even worse when all those workshop and lab work start......
plus assignments, reports, course works......
prepare to be a zombie.....or maybe batlady.....XD

a sad news to me after started my classes.....
I am the only girl in my course....AGAIN......
but luckily we're sharing all the subjects with EE and ME
where all my friends are......
so I'm not alone....^^

after experiencing the attraction of all subjects.....
my top 3 favourite subjects:
1. design and manufacture......the most interesting one.....
2. introduction to electronic engineering....the lecturer quite funny....^^
3. erm......................don't know yet....
the only dislike subject on my list is "intro to computer engineering".....
all because of the super boring lecturer....
luckily classes at computer lab.....
if not, I would die of boringness.....

anyway, I don't regret about my choice.....
will still continue.......with full strength.....
press the accelerator to the max.....
will speeding all the way to the end of winter......

here's the arrival of autumn.....
indicating.....
the end of my super long 4-month summer holiday....
the starting of my super busy uni life.....

kinda excited about it.....
imagine......
going back to campus.....
meeting up with friends.....having fun around....
see the ducks walking around the lake.....
sitting in the freezing cold classroom....
and doing some exciting lab works.....
all are so great......

not until i checked my email just now....
the timetable finally out....

i was nearly pengsan when looking at the timetable.....
one word can describe it.....FULL
morning class is arranged on every single weekday.....
Thursday is the worst day.....
classes are arranged from 9am-6pm......

hopefully....I wrongly interpret the timetable.....
because I don't know why some classes are highlighted and some are not....

in order to cope with the coming busy life.....
I think I need to adjust my biological clock from today onward....
sleep at 10pm (hopefully can make it....) and wake up at 6.30am......
and also......
clear the rust that grow on my brain.....*shake shake*

happy holiday to most of my friends....

last shopping

this morning......
last time shopping.....before start my class next week....
Sunway again....
the usual shopping-mate: ling & wk
reached around 11am.....
we were so lucky to get a parking lot immediately after enter car park ^^

the most important thing in shopping......MONEY!!!
since i didn't have much cash with me....
so went Maybank to withdraw some......
who knows......
i inserted my card but there was no response while I press the button.....
and my card stuck inside the machine.....
no choice.....got to wait till time's up and let the ATM vomit my card automatically....
there are 2 ATM.....
both ATM out of service at the same time...=.=
lucky enough.....ATM technician came and fix the ATM in short time.....
and I got my shopping source.....

losing my shopping mood when noon approaching.....
don't know why.....
felt that my head was getting heavier than morning...
maybe the shopping center getting crowded after noon and got less share of oxygen into my lung.... XD

before ending our shopping.....went Watson.....
bought a pair of "lalat" glasses for my daddy....
it is vision therapy eyewear by Natural Vision.....
which can help you see clearly without glasses and blah blah blah blah.....(google it if you interested...=P)
that is not the main point here......
there was a super "fishy" incident happened after I bought it....

there were 2 big korean guy standing and chatting beside the cashier
after lining up in a long queue and paid at the cashier.....
I need to "Xkill me" and walked pass between them since they're blocking my way
and there was a box of special offer Loreal and Silky Girl mascara display in front of the cashier.....
so i walked carefully and slowly......
suddenly......blooooooooooooooooshhhhhhhhh
and i turned around and saw all the mascara lying on the floor.....
ling said it was like "tin lui san fa"......=.=
everyone in the shop looking at me and i looked at those mascara....
totally stunt....with eyes opened widely.....O.O
then the korean guy started helping me to pick up the mascara...
I awoke from my shock and started doing the same thing.....
ling and wk helped me arranged back the things......
after clearing the mess...
I didn't dare to look back and quickly leave the shop.....

what a "fishy" way to end my shopping......><

Kopi Raya Special

wanna share a little story told by my sis
it is a story about kopi

one day during puasa month of year 2009....
my sis's colleague fetched 2 foreign workers for some job....
when they were on their way to their destination.....
they met some "responsible" policemen....
they stopped the car....and checked the 2 workers....
here's the trouble came.....
there was something wrong with the passports.....
one of it lost its validity......
how?!
everything got the solution....

so here's the solution for that.....

a cup of Kopi

which usually cost around RM50 .....
however, since it was a serious offense....
it couldn't solved with only one cup.....
it required 20 cups of that.....
for sure, the man didn't have so many cups of kopi with him....
HOW? die lo.....

again.....everything has the solution....
couldn't afford C.O.D. then postpaid was allowed....
the man was asked to leave his boss (= my sis' manager too) phone number....
then he went back office....

everyone thought it was the end...
but....NOT YET....
the manager really received call from the "creditors".....
they told him that they were waiting at XXX and had 6 people......
he was asked to prepare the kopi.....
so there the manager went.......

Business rule: always BARGAIN.....to get some discount...
after a long negotiation and bargain......
he was managed to get 50% discount....
so at the end.....he solved the problem by delivering 10 cups of kopi......

THE END

nice story???? ^_^
lesson learned: be careful all the time.....so that you can spend wisely....
especially during festive season....
when price is always sky-high......

by the way....i'm not encouraging kopi delivery here....

this morning...
went to Sunway Piramid with my younger sis....
surprisingly.....not for shopping....
even though i damn wanna shop..><

planned to get off at 10 am
since i am a truly Malaysian with Malaysia timing.....
the car engine was finally started around 11am.....

the car's stomach was nearly empty....
so spend RM30 to buy 16.667 liter Ron95 for her.....
long time didn't give some pressure to her 4 tyres.....
increased the air pressure of them....
so that the newly pumped Ron95 will last longer in her stomach and also we can have a smoother journey....

I wasn't driving this time
the "P"rofessional driver drove to Sunway.....
my blood pressure maintained at high level all the way til she park the car safely in parking lot....

back to our purpose to Sunway....
since we 're not going for shopping....
what were we heading then....
ok....it is all due to an advertisement I saw on newspaper....
lazy to tell the detail of it....
basically is you need to buy a box of mooncake in order to get a discount voucher for a dinner....
so i purposely went all the way there for that....
the mooncakes are very normal.....lotus paste mooncakes
in expectation.....
the price.....just X2 for a same mooncake from other brand...

told my family about that voucher during dinner....
these are the responses that threw on me:
1. what?! u buy the mooncakes just for that discount voucher ar?
2. that voucher sure got some small printed T&C applied de...it's not durian season...thought got so many durian runtuh mie...
3. later you kena tipu ar....stupid...
=.=
I'm already resisted to all those "cold water splashing"....
so I'll still looking forward the coming of the dinner.....
forgot to mention....the dinner is 163 days away from now.....XD
